Seminar held on dental health

VISAKHAPATNAM: GITAM Dental College and Hospital, in association with Indian Dental Association (IDA), conducted a one-day seminar on dental health and practices at the college premises here.

Ashok Dhoble, secretary general of IDA, in his address said that Indian dentists would have great potential in the county in the coming future. He also noted that the IDA was planning several programmes to update the knowledge of dentists and to create awareness among the public on dental health.

SP Akun Sabharwal, who is a BDS graduate, said that a very few dental students take the Civil Service Examination when compared to their MBBS counterparts.

R.V. Subrahmanyam from Dr. SNR Siddhartha Institute of Dental Sciences, Director (Academics) of Mumbai-based Target Educare Rajeev Chiguppi, Senior Manager of Bank of India Ramakrishna and others spoke.
