Sarpanches’ help sought for making schemes a success

ANANTAPUR: On the eve of Telugu New Year ‘Sri Sarvadhari Nama Samvatsaram’, District Collector N. Sridhar has appealed to the elected representatives of local bodies on Sunday to take the government schemes to the poor by creating awareness. Their proactive role and cooperation was must for the success of schemes at grass-root level, he said.

In a letter written to sarpanches, MPTC/ZPTC members and mandal parishad presidents on the occasion of ‘Ugadi’ he urged them to act as social activists to earn an indelible reputation by taking the welfare programmes to the people.
