Talks with Government fail

HYDERABAD: The Joint Action Committee of Teachers' Organisations has decided to go ahead with its plan to boycott the spot valuation of the SSC examination papers beginning on April 8 following failure of talks with the Government on Thursday.

The representatives of JACTO who held discussions with School Education Minister N. Rajyalakshmi alleged that the Government was trying to delay resolution of their demands in the name of discussions.

The absence of the officials of the Finance Department at the meeting was indicative of the Government's commitment towards solving their problems, they said.

Mrs. Rajyalakshmi said that JAC representatives would be invited for another round of talks shortly.
