SKU opens five study centres

ANANTAPUR: The five study centres established by Sri Krishnadevaraya University (SKU) for specific research were inaugurated on the campus on Tuesday. Ground work for the establishment of these centres was on for the last two months.

Speaking at a meeting organised for inauguration of the study centres, Vice-Chancellor P. Kusuma Kumari said they were set up to intensify research work. Like the projects in Life and Material Sciences Departments, the study centres on social sciences would encourage research on literature, social and economic sectors.

Vice-Chancellor of Acharya Nagarjuna University Y.R. Haragopal Reddy said, this was the first instance of establishing such centres at one go in any university. He wished sufficient flow of funds to enable intended research work in the centres.
