SFI to survey facilities in schools

VIZIANAGARAM: Students Federation of India (SFI) has decided to mount pressure on the government by organising agitations in phases from the first week next month onwards for protection of schools/junior colleges and hostels.

At a press conference here on Saturday, the SFI State joint secretary M. Surya Rao said that prior to launching the State-wide agitation the SFI would conduct a survey on basic facilities available in schools/junior colleges after August 15.

He said that Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy had assured them in December last that priority would be given to basic infrastructure but no action had been taken so far.
