Road accident leads to stone-pelting

HYDERABAD: A minor road accident between two motorcyclists resulted in stone-pelting near Enginebowli of Falaknuma in old city on Saturday night.

The two motorcyclists accused each other of rash and negligent driving and picked up a fight. Mild tension prevailed in the area with members of both groups assembling on either side of the road and pelting stones on their opponents. They dispersed after lathi-wielding policemen rushed to the area.

Vigilance and Enforcement, city unit, officials seized pulses worth 33.76 lakhs after raiding Sarveshwara Pulses mill at Chandrayanagutta on Saturday. The officials found stock record to be improper. The seized pulses include 1,008 quintals of `tur dal' and 104 quintals of Bengal-gram.
