Re-poll ordered in 19 booths

KADAPA: A polling percentage of 69 per cent was recorded in Kadapa district and the polling percentage recorded in Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency was 65 per cent and that for Rajampet Lok Sabha constituency 72 per cent.

The highest polling percentage of 78 per cent was recorded in Jammalamadugu Assembly segment followed by 75 per cent in Rajampet and 74 per cent in Pulivendula. The percentage recorded in other segments was 70 per cent in Proddatur, 68 p.c. in Rayachoti, 65 p.c. each in Kodur (SC) and Kamalapuram, 64 p.c. in Badvel (SC) and the least percentage of 59 in Kadapa.

Re-poll was ordered in 19 polling stations, in which electronic voting machines were damaged. Most of the incidents were recorded in Pulivendula, Kamalapuram, Mydukur and Jammalamadugu in that order.
