Speaking to the reporters here on Saturday, the Commissioner C. Nagarajarao, MLA Rowthu Suryaprakasha Rao and Mayor Adireddy Veeraraghavamma admitted that the Corporation Health officials had failed to send blood samples, collected from different patients to Virology Institute, Pune.

MLA Suryaprakasha Rao and Commissioner said that they would make an arrangement like tying up with the district headquarters hospital to send blood samples for testing to Pune.

Lapses admitted

Municipal Health Officer Subbayamma said the two death cases of babies that were reported from two divisions were not related to dengue fevers. However, when she was asked whether the two cases were referred to any virology tests, she gave negative reply and said that as they got negative results during lab tests they thought it was not necessary to send samples to Pune.
