Quick service is mantra here

L.B. Nagar municipal circle delivers plan documents in 48 hours

HYDERABAD: After having pipped even the Head Office in initiating the process of giving building permissions in 48 hours, the L.B. Nagar Municipal Circle is not letting up last month. Soon, it is going to unveil a plan to deliver important documents like mutation certificates, birth and death certificates in – you guessed it right, 48 hours!

Of course, citizens living in this municipal circle which falls in East Zone along with erstwhile municipalities of Uppal and Kapra will have to produce certain papers to be eligible to get the official documents in double quick time. For instance, no objection certificates from a certified notary are needed for taking mutation certificates for change of name in properties.

Necessary papers

Other papers necessary along with it are the succession documents like the family member certificate or legal heir certificate, explained Deputy Commissioner Dr. N. Satyanarayana. If all papers are in order, it will take just a day for physical verification and the document can be obtained in two days for which a service charge of Rs. 500 will be charged.

In case of any delay without giving valid reason, the municipal office will pay Rs. 50 per day, he said. Usually, a month is the minimum time taken for issuing a mutation certificate. For birth and death certificates too, the DC is sure of giving them on the same day if they are already registered without any extra service charge though officially the time allowed is up to three days.

Dr. Satyanarayana assures that the same time would be taken in case of application are made for birth certificates citing “non-availability” with a service fee of Rs. 100. Such cases take up more than a month’s time as it has to be routed through the Revenue Divisional Officer in the role of the special executive magistrate concerned.

Even here after the due processes, the certificate would be issued in two days, he affirmed. For providing these quick services, a new citizens’ service centre is being built with funds from the Andhra Pradesh Urban Services for the Poor at a cost of Rs. 4 lakh with five computers manned by outsourced personnel. Nine buildings got cleared within 48 hours as part of its ‘tatkal’ scheme of giving building permissions of the 25 received in the area. The rest were not cleared because of non-submission of various forms, he said.
