Pulse polio organised

VISAKHAPATNAM: Commercial Taxes Minister Konathala Ramakrishna on Sunday administered polio drops at Tummapala in Anakapalle mandal and launched yet another round of immunisation.

The Minister reiterated the State Government’s resolve to make every woman a ‘lakhpathi.’

Cheques issued

He gave away cheques for Rs.1.74 lakhs to 21 self-help groups under the pavala (three per cent) interest, sanctioned houses under Indiramma to 280 beneficiaries, dairy cattle to 13 persons under ‘Pasukranthi’ and pensions to 248 beneficiaries. He handed over two letters of sanction of Rs.30,000 each under the ‘Girl Child Protection Scheme.’ ZP Chairman G. Ramamurthy Naidu and DM&HO J. Sarojini participated.

Mayor Pulusu Janardhana Rao administered the drops at a booth post near Kalabharathi and Municipal Commissioner B. Sridhar and MLA Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao at Salipeta.

At Kancharapalem

Kutikuppala Surya Rao inaugurated a booth organised by the Child Foundation of India at Kancharapalem. Around 320 children were immunised till evening.

Rotary Club Vizag Metro organised an immunisation post at Rajaka Street in Isukathota.

Children have been given away masks and whistles. Rotarians G.V. Subba Rao, E. Satyam, V. Ramulu and K. Subramanyam participated.

TSR takes part

MP T. Subbarami Reddy participated in the immunisation drive by administering the drops to children at NAD Kotta Road and Santinagar.
