HYDERABAD: Reportedly dejected over failing to secure a job, a post-graduate ended her life in her house at Addagutta society in Kukatpally on Saturday night, the police said.

The body of Sukeerti, 23, was found hanging to the window grill with the ‘chunni’ tied around her neck when her mother, Padmavathi, returned home after going out on some work. Sukeerti’s father works with a private company in Tamil Nadu. Her elder sister, Soujanya, an auditor, was away at her office.

Sukeerti completed M.Sc. in biotechnology from a college in Chennai and had been searching for a job for the past 18 months, the Kukatpally SI, T. Sreenivasa Rao, told reporters. She used to frequently discuss about her efforts to find a job with her sister.

“No suicide note was found. From what her family members said, it appears that she ended her life frustrated over not finding a job,” the SI said. The body was shifted to the Gandhi Hospital morgue for performing autopsy.
