Naidu dares Rosaiah to act against Sakshi

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday challenged Chief Minister K. Rosaiah to act on Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG)'s report and recover the advertisement amount released to the Telugu daily, Sakshi, in violation of rules.

Inaugurating the extended State committee meeting of the party, Mr. Naidu said going by the CAG report, the government had shown undue favour to the daily as it was owned by the former Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy's son. Will Mr. Rosaiah muster courage to take action? National Rural Employment Programme had become a farce and a Minister in Srikakulam had gone to the extent of getting a road laid to his son's home and his granite factory, he alleged.

The TDP president wanted the party cadre to take up cudgels on behalf of people and participate actively in the party programmes beginning with membership drive from April 5 to 20.
