Addresses meetings at Rayaparthi, Muripirala, Wardhannapet, Illanda

WARANGAL: TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu has asked the people not to vote for TRS as it would be a waste exercise and indeed people should vote for TDP which would standby them always. On the second day of his election campaign and ‘Mee Kosam’ tour in the district, Mr. Naidu addressed several public meetings at Rayaparthi, Muripirala, Wardhannapet, Illanda and other villages. At the Wardhannapet mandal headquarters which is the stronghold of MLA E. Dayakar Rao, people gathered in good numbers on Thursday.

Mr. Chandrababu Naidu said people elected over 20 MLAs of TRS but 10 of them joined hands with the Congress. “There is no use voting to TRS. They will only make false promises but do nothing. You vote for TDP and elect your leader E. Dayakar Rao and he will work for you,” he told the cheering crowds under scorching sun.

Focus on prices

The TDP leader during his speech focused more on spiralling prices of essential commodities and corruption. He went on stating how the State Government was indifferent to people’s sufferings on account of increasing prices of oil, cooking gas, pulses and erratic power supply. The farmers too faced lot of difficulties with the inclement weather conditions, inadequate power supply and minimum support prices for their agricultural produce.

The State Government made tall promises on housing but did not sanction enough funds for them. As a result, the money given by the Government was insufficient as the prices of cement, iron and bricks reached a new high. “If the TDP comes to power, we will give free housing. We will also sanction free gas connection and free electricity. It is possible and we will show them,” Mr Naidu said.

The Congress Government did not bother much to stop the ongoing Babli project which would only deprive the water supply to Karimnagar and Warangal districts. It was the TDP which highlighted the issue and took it up with the Prime Minister and Union Ministers. “If you vote for E. Dayakar Rao, he will fight for stoppage of Babli project to give you water,” the TDP president told the public.
