VIJAYAWADA: Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences is exploring the possibility of having faculty exchange programmes, student exchange and Ph.D programmes with the US-based Jackson State University (JSU).

NTRUHS Vice-Chancellor A.V. Krishnam Raju and others had extensive discussions with the team of the US university, which visited the NTRUHS campus recently. They wanted active exchanges in the area of public health between the two universities.

The foreign delegates, who participated in the meeting, were Dr. James Maddirala, vice-president, JSU, Missisipi; Dr. Mario Azevedo, JSU, and Prof. I.V. Murali Krishna, co-ordinator, JSU.

The representatives discussed the idea of having an MoU and other exchange programmes between two universities with mutual co-operation and joint funding and also to cooperate in data transfer on health problems.
