Muppireddypally (Medak District): Minister for Major Industries J. Geeta Reddy on Sunday claimed that the district has witnessed multi-fold development.

She was addressing a gathering after laying foundation stone for Shantha Biotechnics Limited’s new vaccine complex. The Minister also inaugurated Sparsha Pharma International, a Transdermal Drug Delivery System, at Muppireddypally industrial area , the Minister said as much as 750 acres of land was allocated for industrial development.

“Already land has been allocated to different companies including MLR Motors, Shantha Biotechnics and Sparsha International. While internal roads were developed with Rs. 15 crore another Rs. 6 crore was allotted for water supply.

The farmers were compensated to the tune of Rs. 5 lakh per acre in addition to house sites for which 50 acres of land was allocated,” the Minister said. Thanking Varaprasad Reddy, Managing Director and the brain behind Shantha Biotechnics, for coming forward to establish a unit in Medak district, Ms. Geeta Reddy said that the company has been providing vaccine at affordable price for the required people.

APIIC executive director Muralidhar Reddy, Shantha Biotechnics managing director Varaprasad Reddy and Sparsha Pharma managing director Dange Veerapaneni were present.
