PR leader’s blood sugar levels go down; condition stable

Rajahmundry: U.V. Krishnam Raju, Praja Rajyam candidate for Rajahmundry Parliamentary constituency was suddenly hospitalised on Thursday, when he was touring different Assembly segments in his constituency. He had severe sweating when he was coming out from a polling station around 11 a.m. His blood sugar levels were down and he was immediately shifted to a local private hospital by his wife Syamala Devi and other PR leaders.

Sitting MP Vundavalli Aruna Kumar, co-actor and TDP candidate Maganti Murali Mohan, PR district convener M.S. Chakravarti, urban candidate Challa Sankara Rao and others visited the hospital to enquire about his health. Doctors at Bollineni Heart Centre said that except diabetic problem, his condition is alright. Speaking to The Hindu, Mr. Raju said that he did not want to make it as big issue and it was a routine illness caused by sunstroke.
