Jagan not to accept Cabinet berth

KADAPA: Kadapa MP-elect Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy asserted on Saturday that he would not accept a Union Cabinet berth, but would stay put in Kadapa and strive for the development of Kadapa district.

To shift

Speaking to the media here, Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy said he would shift from Bangalore to Pulivendula and would continue to serve the people of Kadapa district.


Reacting to the thumping victory of the Congress in the State and Kadapa district, Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy said the people overwhelmingly supported Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy for the ‘unprecedented development’ undertaken by him in the last five years and re-elected the Congress.

People’s affection

Stating that the Congress won both the Kadapa and Rajampet Lok Sabha constituencies and nine of the 10 Assembly segments, Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy in his reaction remarked that the people’s affection would never be forgotten. He said efforts would be made to win all the 10 Assembly segments in Kadapa district.
