Looking to emulate VSP in turning around BHPV

VISAKHAPATNAM: Bharat Heavy Plate and Vessels (BHPV) Ltd., in the city would emulate the example of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant in turning around BHPV, its deputy general manager S.S. Prakash said on Saturday.

He was addressing the valedictory function of National Productivity Week celebrations with the theme `Productivity for Global Competitiveness' at BHPV premises. General manager (Management Services) of VSP G. Kanakaiah shared his experiences in the steel plant .

Chief vigilance officer A. Gnanasekharan inaugurated the Week on Monday. During the week, guest lectures on the theme were delivered by deputy GM of FACOR from Shreeramnagar K.V.S.S.N. Murthy, regional director of the Central Board for Workers' Education D.B. Vyas, senior manager of NTPC Simhadri Thermal Power Plant V.S. Appaji, deputy GMs of BHPV A. Panigrahi and G.S. Smiles.

DGM (HR) D.V.S. Murthy presided. Earlier, deputy manager (Training) K. Appa Rao welcomed the gathering while P. Sampat Kumar proposed a vote of thanks.
