Industrialists urged to adopt villages

SANGAREDDY: Minister for Major Industries J. Geeta Reddy on Wednesday called upon industrialist to adopt villages and provide facilities as part of social responsibility.

Inaugurating a water supply scheme at Phase III of Biotech Park located at Turkapally, the Minister said that adoption villages would create conducive atmosphere between industry and locals. The scheme was constructed at a cost of Rs. 6 crore.

Stating that about 100 units were established in phase I and II of Biotech Park, she said around 600 acres was available in phase-III for the establishment of industries and already 19 companies had approached for land allotment.

Indian Immunologicals would be setting up its unit with an estimated investment of Rs. 100 crore.

The Minister also inaugurated 33/11 KV sub-station at Karakapatla and R&D Facility of Globian India, a private sector firm taking up research on the vaccination for poultry industry.

Ms. Geeta Reddy said that Globian India Pvt. Ltd, which also set up its research and development unit, had been providing employment to 500 locals.

The Minister also promised to provide all required facilities for the industries.
