IIT Kharagpur to host ‘Kshitij 2010’ in Jan.

VIJAYAWADA: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur is all set to host “Kshitij 2010”, an annual fest dubbed as the largest techno-management symposium in Asia, in January 2010.

The objective of hosting the annual event is to provide a platform to deserving students from across the country to showcase their scientific dexterity and managerial acumen.

The four-day fair will commence on January 28.

To promote core disciplines of engineering, Kshitij has joined hands with globally reputed associations like ACM, ASHRAE, ASME and IMechE.

These associations will provide certifications for the events, thus extending international recognition to the outstanding entries in various categories.

Over 40 events will be organised in the fields of technology and management covering diverse subjects like coding events, case studies, B-Plan competition, paper presentation contests, mechanical events, industrial design problems, aeromodelling events and robotics besides other on-the-spot events.

More than 30,000 students are likely to take part in the fest that will bestow upon the winners prizes worth Rs. 45 lakhs.
