HYDERABAD: Work was disturbed for a couple of hours at Nampally Criminal Court Complex after an anonymous person rang up stating that a bomb was planted inside it on Thursday.

Searches, however, proved it was a false alarm. The call was made to the landline phone of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s residence around 10.20 a.m. The caller spoke Hindi and said that a bomb was placed inside the court complex and it would explode any time. The Nampally police rushed to the court building with sniffer dogs and bomb disposal squads and examined the entire building premises only to realise it was hoax bomb call.

This was fourth time mischief mongers created flutter at the court complex by raising false alarm.

The latest call was traced to a coin box public telephone at Mehdipatnam.
