Hearing in BMW case posted to March 22

HYDERABAD: A case pertaining to the maintainability of criminal proceedings against the manufacturers, dealers and suppliers of BMW cars was adjourned to March 22 by Justice P. S. Narayana of the High Court.

G. Pavan Kumar, executive director of M/s GVR Infra, a customer, had filed a complaint with the police that he had purchased a BMW 730 sedan which had a manufacturing defect and was sold intentionally.

Dealer's offer

The German car maker and its local dealer approached the High Court requesting the court to quash the criminal case registered against them. Initially, a stay was granted making it clear that the investigation can go on but no arrests should be made.
