HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has extended deadlines for submission of proposals and expression of interest for couple of its proposed works.

It had called global invitations for expression of interest-cum-request to develop, operate and transfer an aquarium of international standards at Mir Alam Tank close to Nehru Zoological Park.

The last date for submission of the EOI-cum-RPF which originally was March 31 has been extended till May 30. The proposed aquarium would have at least 2,000 fishes/sea animals covering about 200 species presenting the marine life of water bodies surrounding the Indian subcontinent and major rivers of the country. The species at the aquarium to be spread over 1.75 lakh sft would be a mix of freshwater, marine, tropical and chilled fishes.

Similarly, the last date for expression of interest for the residential complex with commercial and recreational facilities proposed at Miyapur too has been extended till May 8.

For this project, the HMDA had put on offer approximately 105 acres of land opposite Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories.

This project too was on joint development basis through PPP mode under which the private developer has to design, develop, construct, finance, operate and maintain the complex and share the built-up area with HMDA apart from marketing. The site is about 10 km from Hi-tec city and 35 km from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and would have access with the Outer Ring Road (ORR) which is partly completed.
