Focus on soft skills, students advised

NELLORE: Vikrama Simhapuri University registrar V. Narayana Reddy has underlined the need to revise the curriculum to improve communication and soft skills among young professionals.

Mr. Reddy inaugurated the four-day ‘Communication and soft skill’ training programme being organised by Geethanjali Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) in association with RIPE Institute, Chennai, at the college campus in Gangavaram village in the district on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Registrar opined that a proper curriculum design aiming at the improvement of linguistic, logical and rational competency should be done to serve the young engineers which will help them in competing in the global market.

The speakers advised the students to increase proficiency in language to compete in the corporate market.

A team of officials from RIPE Institute will train the students on Personality Development and ‘Time management, Career Guidance and other topics.
