Five held, Rs. 6 lakh seized

NELLORE: The Central Crime Station (CCS) police arrested five persons, including a juvenile, in three different cases and recovered property worth Rs. 6 lakh from their possession.

Disclosing this to mediapersons at a press conference, district Superintendent of Police B. Malla Reddy said, the police detained G. Raja, I. Koteswara Rao and Ch. Sai Krishna, all natives of Buchireddypalem and recovered an auto-rickshaw and 130 paper bundles stolen from a book stall in the city on December 4.

In another case, the police arrested a 15-year-old boy T. Hema Kumar in a theft case and recovered gold and silver ornaments worth Rs. 50,000 from him.

In the third case, police arrested a vehicle-thief M. Kondala Rao and recovered four bikes, and a television stolen from different places in the district, said the SP.
