Fake visas: four youths from A.P. arrested in Delhi

HYDERABAD: Four of 29 youngsters from Andhra Pradesh, who approached a placement agency based in Neredmet seeking jobs abroad, were arrested by the police in Delhi on charge of trying to fly with fake visas.

The remaining job aspirants approached the Neredmet police on Saturday accusing the agency -Iecaos Seven Seas Services Enterprises Ltd. of duping them to the tune of several lakhs with false promises of securing jobs in other countries.

Cheating case

The police registered a cheating case against the manpower consultancy owner Sukanth Naik, who was already arrested by the Delhi police and lodged in Tihar jail.

Neredmet Inspector S.V. Harikrishna said several youths, including those arrested at Delhi, paid money ranging from Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 4 lakh to Naik following his assurances to provide them with jobs in software sector and hotel industry.

Around three days ago, Ashwin Kumar, Yesu Shankar, Rajanikanth and Kranthi Kumar left for Delhi carrying the visas and other documents given by Naik.

However, the Immigration officials at the airport caught them on finding that the visas were fake. Later, Naik too was arrested and sent to jail.
