Videos on the achievements to be screened

Interesting videos on the achievements of Chandrayaan-1, India's first unmanned lunar mission, Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) and many other remarkable accomplishments of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will be screened during the ensuing two-day exhibition on Indian Space Technology. It will be conducted by the ISRO at the SR & BGNR Government College for Arts & Science in Khammam on August 9 and 10.

Giving the details to the media persons here on Thursday, college principal S. Madhava Rao said that the two-day exhibition would highlight its research activities in space technology and various facets of the distinguished Indian space programme. Number of models of satellites and rockets would be kept on display during the exhibition.

The rapid strides made by ISRO in space technology would be presented in the form of colour display panels and posters, he said.

Rare opportunity

The exhibition would offer a rare opportunity for all sections of people, more particularly students, to gain an insight into the whole gamut of the Indian space technology. The exhibition would remain open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both the days.

College Head of the Department of Physics Rambabu, coordinator Venkataramana, physics lecturer Venkata Rama Rao, commerce lecturer A.L.N. Sastry and others were present.
