Debt-ridden farmer ends life

NIZAMABAD: A 35-year-old farmer, Beerkur Nageswar Rao, of Makloor mandal headquarter was found dead at a private lodge here on Tuesday. Nageswar Rao is survived by wife and a four-year-old daughter and used to cultivate land by taking it on lease.

As usual this year he took 11 acres for lease and planted paddy. He reportedly took Rs. 4 lakhs from money lenders to raise the crop.

Unable to bear the mounting pressure from the money lenders, Rao reportedly ended life by consuming pesticide.

The One Town Sub-Inspector S. Lakshminarayana is investing the case.
