Commissioner inspects summer storage tanks

ANANTAPUR: Commissioner and Public Health Engineering officials of the Anantapur Municipal Corporation inspected the summer storage tanks here on Thursday and assured people that quality of water being supplied by them was being monitored closely.

Samples of water collected in 15 areas in the district headquarters town were sent to water testing laboratory at Kurnool and the chemical analysis reports had indicated that the quality of water was good, Commissioner N. Ramachandra Reddy stated. The two summer storage tanks and water supplied by Sri Sathya Sai scheme were sufficient for the next 45 days.

Accompanied by Superintending Engineer Kaleem, Executive Engineer Bhaskar Rao and other officials, the Commissioner visited summer storage tanks and examined the algae removal from the tank. He also inspected the filter beds, chlorination system and others and expressed satisfaction over the process.
