CPI(M) told to stop ‘street plays’

HYDERABAD: The Congress Legislature Party has asked the CPI (M) State leaders to stop ‘street plays’ being enacted in the name of ‘Bhoo Poratam’ which, it said, were aimed at misleading people.

“ B.V. Raghavulu appears to have launched the agitation to give an impression that distribution of land and house sites taken up by the Government is done at his instance,” Chief Whip N. Kiran Kumar Reddy said. He criticised the CPI(M) for its ‘double standards’ in that the party was trying to create obstacles in the welfare programmes here.
