CESS research unit launch today

HYDERABAD: The Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS) has announced the setting up of a research unit for livelihoods and natural resources (RULNR) aided by the Jamsetji Tata Trust with the objective of creating a centre of excellence and influencing government policies.

At a press conference here on Tuesday, former CESS director and Chairman, Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices, S. Mahendra Dev, said the uniqueness of the unit would be that it would take up fundamental and applied research in an integrated manner.
