HYDERABAD: It was school teacher Guna Ramacharyulu's long-standing desire to donate her organs and help another suffering soul. On Saturday, after doctors checked her twice and confirmed that she was brain-dead, that desire was finally realised.

The 38-year-old teacher, who was running Focus Pre-School at Nallakunta, was admitted to the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences two days ago after she suffered an intra-cerebral haemorrhage which proved fatal. The Multi-Organ Harvesting Aid Network (MOHAN) Foundation immediately arranged for the donation. However, with time running out, only the eyes and kidneys could be retrieved. Theeyes were given to LV Prasad Eye Institute, the kidneys went to Global Hospital and KIMS.
