HYDERABAD: A city police head constable Nagendra Prasad, 55, who was allegedly assaulted by a youngster following an argument five days ago, died at a hospital on Thursday.

The accused Nazeem was already arrested in connection with the incident. Prasad was working in Mahankali police station. On the fateful day on March 31, he and his son were going on a motorcycle when Nazeem suddenly came across on a motorcycle, near Lakdikapul, almost hitting them.

This led to an argument between the two motorcyclists. In the scuffle that ensued, Nazeem pushed Prasad down, resulting in a bleeding injury for the latter. He was admitted to a private hospital where he died five days later while undergoing treatment.
