Andhra Bank business crosses 3,000 crore

Impressive results in Warangal zone

WARANGAL: The total business of Andhra Bank Warangal zone has crossed Rs 3,000 crore with deposits of Rs. 1,798 crore and total advances of Rs. 1,232 crore. Addressing a press conference, deputy general manager, M.V.K. Sarma said the zone issued advances of Rs. 5,21 crore to agriculture sector and Rs. 172 crore to Small and Medium Enterprises in the zone comprising Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda districts.The Andhra Bank has a total of 80 branches, four extension counters and 40 ATMS and 60 branches have already shifted to Core Banking Solutions. Mr. Sarma said bank focused more on rural areas with its 10 Rural Training Institutes and has trained 75,300 candidates for taking up gainful self employment. Apart from reimbursement of to and fro travel expenditures for attending training, all the candidates were provided free lodging and boarding facilities and training inputs.He said more than 2,03,500 Self Help Groups were extended bank finance of Rs. 1,507 crore by the bank so far. Mr. Sarma urged the customers to attend the customers meet scheduled to be held on January 27 at 4 p.m. at all branches and give their feedback.
