Allegations baseless, says PCC secretary

Protesting the corrupt allegations made by a group of Congress legislators on Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) during late Y.S.Rajashekara Reddy's regime, PCC secretary Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy demanded Chief Minister K. Rosaiah to order a probe to prove that the allegations were false.

Speaking to the newsmen at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday, Mr. Sridhar Reddy said some leaders in Congress plotted to suppress former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajashekara Reddy's family and are making baseless allegations.

If irregularities were going on in APIIC for the past few years, why the leaders maintained silence since 2004, he questioned and urged Mr. Rosaiah to order an enquiry.

The PCC secretary came down heavily on former minister J.C.Diwakar Reddy and MLA D.L. Ravindra Reddy for making gross allegations against a departed leader and his family members now.
