Air commodore visits city

VIJAYAWADA: A.C. Bahal, Deputy Director General of the National Cadet Corps, AP, visited 1(A) EME Coy in the city on Friday as part of his current tour in East Godavari, West Godavari and Krishna districts from March 9 to 11. This is his first visit to the units since taking over the reins of the NCC Directorate, AP, and he is reviewing training activities at various NCC units and educational institutions.

M.Z.U. Siddiquie, officer commanding, 1(A) EME Coy, said that Air Commodore Bahal was a very experienced and distinguished fighter pilot of Indian Air Force and prior to his present NCC assignment, he was Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Vadodara in Gujarat. He was an instructor at premiere defence training institutions such as the College of Air Warfare and the Army War College. He also served on diplomatic assignment at the High Commission of India in Bangladesh.

Col. Siddiquie said that Air Commodore Bahal was awarded Vayu Sena medal for gallantry, chief of air staff commendation and air officer commanding-in-chief commendation for distinguished services.
