Adhere to ethics and be role models, teachers told

VIJAYAWADA: Since faculty members are seen as role models, they should take all possible steps to evolve as perfect personalities.

Teachers should always watch their actions, considering their possible impact on young minds.

This was the message given by speakers at the valedictory of a faculty development programme organised at the Lakireddy Bali Reddy College of Engineering, Mylavaram, on Tuesday. The two-week-long programme got sponsorship from the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

Speaking as chief guest on the occasion, P. Bhupal Reddy, principal of the SS Institute of Technology, Nuzvid, advised the faculty to adhere to ethics.

‘Work hard’

Prof. Reddy hoped many more such programmes would be conducted in future for the benefit of the teaching fraternity. L.S.S. Reddy, director of the institute, while addressing the participants, advised them to improve their teaching calibre by working hard with commitment and dedication.

R. Chandrasekharam, Dean, exuded confidence that the participants would derive maximum benefit from the programme.

ECE Head of Department K. Sarat Kumar advised the faculty to make constant efforts to update their knowledge.
