APCC chief asks MLAs to withdraw rebels

HYDERABAD: The Congress, after facing heat over the selection of candidates in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections, is paying attention to withdrawal of the rebels from the fray.

APCC president D.Srinivas on Sunday spoke with city MLAs over telephone, advising them to ensure that all rebels withdraw their papers. He is understood to have appealed to them to extend full cooperation to official nominees for wresting the Mayor’s post.

He told The Hindu that he had issued 150 ‘B’ forms to all official candidates. He exuded confidence that the rebel problem will be over in two days.
