4 die in mishaps on railway track

HYDERABAD, FEB. 26. Four persons have been killed in separate mishaps on the railway track in and around the city in the last two days. Two died after falling on the railway track while boarding moving trains and two others were killed after MMTS trains knocked them down while they were crossing the track. A resident of Tukaramgate, G.M. Pandu (51), died on the spot on Thursday after falling on the railway track while boarding a moving train at the Lalaguda railway station. In another incident, an unidentified man, aged 25 years, slipped from platform no. 2 while boarding a passenger train at Kachiguda railway station on Wednesday.

A 45-year-old man, P. Butchayya (45), was killed after a MMTS train hit him on Thursday between Sanathnagar and Hafeezpet. The victim was a resident of Borabanda, Nampally Railway Police said.

An unidentified man aged about 25 died on the spot when a MMTS train hit him near Kachiguda railway station while he was crossing the railway track. The victim was wearing brown trousers and white shirt.
