Nandyal Rural CI G. Ramakrishna Reddy and Mahanandi SI Peddaiah Naidu registered a case and apprehended the trio, the SP said.
Stating that the rumours spread on the social media on movement of Parthi, Chaddi and Bihari gangs and child kidnappers led to 15 attacks on innocent persons, the mentally-challenged and strangers in the district, Mr. Gopinath advised people to alert the police if they suspected anyone, but not attack them.
