2,413 houses sanctioned for beedi workers

Each house costing Rs. 40,000 to be given free of cost

NIZAMABAD: Union Labour Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has announced sanction of 2,413 houses costing about Rs. 9.65 crores to the beedi workers of Yellareddy, Dichpally, Banswada, Balkonda and Armoor constituencies, according to the Yellareddy MLA and TRS district president, E. Ravinder Reddy. Mr. Reddy said the houses were sanctioned as Pongal gift to the people on Thursday by issuing the GO No. M-1105/30/2006-W/III by the Minister.

Each house costs Rs.40,000 and it was totally free of cost, he explained.

He said the TRS's extended meeting of the two districts of Medak and Nizamabad will be held at Church Compound, Ramayampet on January 17, which would be attended among others by the party chief, K. Chandrasekhar Rao. He appealed to the TRS activists to attend the meeting make it a success.

Mr. Ravinder Reddy also greeted the people on the occasion of Sankranti.
