Women eligible for 40 p.c. subsidy to set up industries

Sangareddy: Minister for Major Industries J. Geetha Reddy announced a 10 per cent reservation for SC and ST women entrepreneurs in land allocation for setting industries in the industrial estates.

Addressing the press in Gajwel on Saturday after laying foundation for a cotton market yard, the minister said that 60 acres of land in the Karkapatla and Muppireddypalli industrial areas in the district have been allocated for SC and ST entrepreneurs.

Women entrepreneurs in the State would be eligible for 40 per cent subsidy to set up industries and men would receive a subsidy hike of almost 20 per cent. The Minister also said that aspirants could even avail loans from the State Finance Corporation along with other banking and financial institutions.

Opposition has no issue

Commenting on the efforts of the Telugu Desam chief and former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to project himself as farmer-friendly she alleged the opposition had no issue to discuss in the assembly and simply wasting precious time of the members of the legislature.
