Tight security for Assembly session

BHUBANESWAR OCT. 26. Massive security arrangements have been made for a 11-day session of the Orissa Assembly which begins tomorrow in view of the heightened threat perception from naxalites.

A total of 18 platoons of policemen have been deployed in around the Assembly premises. The security arrangement for the Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, has also been strengthened.

Issues such as procurement of paddy, relief and restoration work in the flood-hit districts, and the demand for a separate Koshal State are likely to dominate the proceedings.
