Tandoor case sentence today

NEW DELHI NOV. 6. The trial court, which convicted the former Delhi Youth Congress president, Sushil Sharma, in the Naina Sahni murder case, said today that it would pronounce the quantum of sentence tomorrow.

The Additional Sessions Judge, G.P. Thareja, fixed the case for tomorrow after hearing counsel for the accused on the quantum of punishment.

The main convict, Sushil, offered no arguments and said he would bow to the judgment. However, Keshav Kumar, former manager of Bagiya Restaurant, where an attempt to burn Sahni's body was made, said he had suffered eight-and-half years of imprisonment which should be a sufficient punishment. — PTI
