Relief officials drowned in Bihar

PATNA SEPT. 21. Relief operations in Bihar suffered a setback when three officials engaged in relief work drowned in the Ganga in Munger district on Saturday night.

A seven-member relief team was returning to its base camp after distributing aid to marooned people when their boat was swept away. Four others swam to safety.

The bodies of two of the three victims, identified as government staff belonging to Munger district, were recovered from near Mans village in Khagaria district. Efforts were on to find the third body.
