PM meets new IAS officers

Tells them to earn people’s trust by proactively engaging with public

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday interacted with over 170 IAS officers of the 2016 batch, who have recently been appointed Assistant Secretaries in various Union Ministries.

On completion of Phase-2 training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, the officers were recently posted as Assistant Secretaries in the Ministries and departments of the Union government for 13 weeks starting July 2.

Mr. Modi talked about good and proactive governance, people’s participation, transparency, information flows and optimal utilisation of resources.
