Pakistan to allow 10 buses to Nankana Sahib

ISLAMABAD, MARCH 17. The Pakistan Prime Minister, Shaukat Aziz, has decided to allow 10 buses carrying Sikh pilgrims from Punjab to visit Nankana Sahib on the occasion of the Baisakhi Festival on April 13.

An official announcement here said the Prime Minister's decision of allowing the pilgrims, as a special case, is in deference to the wishes of the Sikh community conveyed to him by the Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, and the Punjab Chief Minister, Amarinder Singh. Mr. Singh met him on Wednesday.

The statement said Mr. Aziz had also directed the authorities to initiate steps for early commencement of the Lahore-Amritsar bus service.
