Over 51 lakh houses have been sanctioned against the demand of one crore in the last three years under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), the Urban Affairs Ministry said on Sunday. Over 28 lakh units are under construction and eight lakh houses have been completed. The Ministry aims at large-scale construction of houses for the urban poor.PTI
