NSG mission called off at the last minute

NEW DELHI NOV. 24 . A 120-member crack team of the National Security Guards led by the Director-General, R.S. Moosahari, which had boarded a special flight for Jammu, was asked to return at the last minute.

This followed reports that the terrorist who had entered the Raghunath Temple had been gunned down and the premises cleared. Mr. Moosahari had been asked to leave for Jammu along with his commandos at around 9-30 p.m.

It is learnt that the Prime Minister's Office, which was monitoring the situation in Jammu, later asked the NSG Director-General and his team to call off their mission and return to Manesar in Haryana.
