New Director for IDSA

NEW DELHI: : The Government on Friday named former bureaucrat N. S. Sisodia as the new Director the Institute of Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA), a premier strategic affairs think-tank. The IDSA was headless for a year after the retirement of the previous incumbent K. Santhanam in July last year. Since then Uday Bhaskar, a senior naval officer, had been the acting as the Director.

The previous posting of Mr. Sisodia, a retired IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre of 1968 batch, was as Defence Production Secretary in the Ministry of Defence.

He has also held served other important posts in the Ministry of Finance, National Security Council Secretariat and Cabinet Secretariat.
